7 Days in September
While watching this film the two most impacting moments were when the footage showed several people jumping from the Twin Towers and all the debris after they had fallen, covering the city. I started to think that those people who decided to jump probably never thought that they would have to choose the way they would die, either burn to death or jump from one of the tallest buildings in the world. It was hard to watch and even the person who filmed it decided to stop because they were filming someone else's death on their camera. I never knew about the debris that covered the city and how deserted it was afterwards. People were covered from head to toe, and were unrecognizable. Everyone had turned into gray dusty figures mindlessly walking around wondering why and how this all happened. This film showed new information that I never knew and made this tragic even in our country more apparent and captivating.

Bullying
After reading these stories, the people who are bullying others seem to bully them souly based on the fact that they are different, or don't fit what they consider "normal." Some kids take bullying differently. In one article, Alex and Philippe Haussmann were bullied because they were over-weight. After being bullied Alex claimed, "I used to have a thin skin. You get over it in time, and just grow a thicker one." The bullying made him a stronger person. In other cases, some kids had died from being tormented by others. Phoebe Prince's reaction to bullying led to her to committ suicide. Within her article, Phoebe was claimed to be a beautful and an intelligent girl. The message behind her story is that bullying can happen to anyone. All these stories have made me realize how serious of a problem bullying has become. In middle school, I wasn't necessarily bullied but kids say rude things to other kids. I was a young girl who was chubby and had glasses, so I became a target for some others. Although it bothered me then, it only made me a stronger person. So, when I read these stories, I can relate on some level becuase for many years, kids had made fun of my appearance. Within the Phoebe Prince article, some parents had claimed that their children can't block them on Facebook or they can read their kids text messages. Although these parents seem to be doing this for the protection of their own kids, I would hate it if my mom or dad went through my phone or looked at my Facebook. At the age of 18, I'm considered an adult on some level, and my parents going through my things doesn't seem to be an effective way to stop or prevent bullying. I think teachers in the school should be more aware of how kids are treated, or adults should talk to the parents of the bully, or the kid being bullied. Changing schools might be the solution, in some cases it helped kids be in a more comfortable and diverse environment. I think insecurities are the basis of bullying and that kids who do bully others, are so insecure with themselves, they try to make others feel just as low as they do. In some situations its easier to be the bigger person and ignore what others are saying.
Technology makes it easier to bully people because its another outlet that everyone can see and people can threated others without having to personally face them. Its a cowardly way to bully people.
